1. Acceptance
By accessing or using SplitPay, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. “SplitPay,” “we,” or “us” means SplitPay operator.
2. The service
SplitPay provides a user interface for creating and interacting with shared-payment smart contracts on Robinhood Chain. The service is not a bank, wallet custodian, brokerage, money transmitter, investment adviser, exchange, or escrow agent. Smart contract escrow is controlled by code deployed on a public blockchain.
3. Eligibility and lawful use
You must have legal capacity, satisfy any applicable age requirement, and use SplitPay only where lawful. You may not use the service for sanctions evasion, fraud, money laundering, unlawful goods or services, market manipulation, or any activity that violates law or another person's rights.
4. Wallet responsibility
You control your wallet and are responsible for private keys, recovery phrases, devices, approvals, addresses, token selection, gas, and transaction review. Blockchain transactions may be irreversible. SplitPay will never ask for your seed phrase or private key.
5. Service and network fees
Each participant payment includes a 1% SplitPay service fee, calculated in integer token units and rounded down where necessary. The full token amount is shown before approval. Robinhood Chain gas fees are separate and paid in ETH. Third-party wallet, bridge, token, or provider fees may also apply.
At successful creator withdrawal, completed-payment fees are sent to 0x78BB24a4372A15dcF52998E0085631915850BFd6.
6. Cancellation, withdrawal, and refunds
A bill creator may cancel an active bill before withdrawal. After cancellation, each paid participant may claim their own principal and service fee from the contract. Gas fees are not refunded. After creator withdrawal, participant refunds are unavailable through the SplitPay contract.
A creator may withdraw after all participants pay or after the deadline. For a partially paid bill, withdrawal after the deadline settles only the principal actually collected.
7. Robinhood Chain tokens only
SplitPay supports only contract-allowlisted ERC-20 tokens deployed on Robinhood Chain. Token availability may change. A token's appearance in the interface is not an endorsement, investment recommendation, price guarantee, or statement that the token is available or lawful in your jurisdiction.
Robinhood Stock Tokens may involve securities, issuer, transfer, corporate-action, price, liquidity, and jurisdictional risks. You are responsible for understanding the token before using it.
8. Technology and financial risks
You accept risks including smart contract bugs, wallet compromise, phishing, malicious tokens, failed or delayed transactions, RPC outages, chain reorganisation, bridge failure, incorrect addresses, token restrictions, volatility, depegging, regulatory change, and permanent loss. Do not use funds you cannot afford to lose.
9. No advice or fiduciary duty
SplitPay provides software tools and information, not legal, tax, financial, investment, or accounting advice. No fiduciary relationship is created.
10. Intellectual property and acceptable use
You may use the website for its intended purpose. You may not interfere with security, overload infrastructure, introduce malicious code, impersonate others, scrape in a harmful manner, or misrepresent affiliation with SplitPay or Robinhood.
11. Availability and changes
The service may be changed, paused, restricted, or discontinued. Access may be unavailable because of maintenance, chain conditions, providers, security events, law, or other causes.
12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, token value, contract security, or transaction completion.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost tokens, wallet compromise, transaction errors, or third-party conduct. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
13. Indemnity
Where permitted by law, you agree to indemnify the operator against claims and costs arising from your unlawful use, breach of these Terms, infringement of rights, or misuse of a wallet or token.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the applicable jurisdiction, excluding conflict-of-law rules, subject to mandatory local consumer protections. The operator must add a complete dispute-resolution clause suitable for its jurisdiction before launch.
